Emily and Gabe engaged~ Iowa wedding photographer Carisa Keeling
Posted on July 30, 2011
Emily and Gabe braved a very warm July evening for their Love Story session. These two are so adorable together and their smiles are simply infectious. We used a variety of locations including the Iowa State campus and some locations in downtown Ames. This gave them a lot of variety in their images. They were so great to work with and I can’t wait to share their wedding which I had the pleasure of photographing for them this fall. Congratulations Emily and Gabe and thank you for allowing me the opportunity to create these images for you.

An engagement session by Iowa wedding photographer Carisa Keeling ~ Kate and Ben
Posted on June 13, 2011
Kate and Ben were blessed with terrific weather for the session and we had that beautiful late evening light to work with. This engagement session was held at Riverside Park in Ames, Iowa…one of my favorite places to shoot. We took some photos, they played a little frisbee (that is how they met) and had a great time. I am looking forward to capturing many great moments for them at their wedding later this summer.

Rebeka and Scott~an engagement session by Carisa Keeling Photography
Posted on May 31, 2011
Recently I had the opportunity to meet up with Rebeka and Scott for their engagement session. Fabulous weather, an easy going and fun couple and plenty of time made for a fantastic session. We photographed the session on the beautiful Iowa State University campus. I know I am a bit biased, but the ISU campus is really hard to beat in beauty this time of year…well, almost any time of year really. :-) I am really looking forward to Rebeka and Scott’s wedding which will be this coming fall. Oh, and afterwards, we are going to do an post wedding day session. I hesitate to call it a “trash the dress” session, as I am not sure yet how much trashing Rebeka will be up for…but either way, it will be a fantastic opportunity for more fabulous images in her gown. Day after or trash the dress sessions are great additions to your wedding package, if you are interested drop me a line through the contact page above and I can give you more details. You do not have to be a current wedding client to do one of these sessions with me, though current clients do get fantastic deals

Marci and Jake~Engaged! Carisa Keeling, Iowa Wedding Photographer
Posted on June 13, 2010
Marci and Jake are absolutely adorable together. We did their engagement shoot on Iowa State University’s central campus and the session was a lot of fun. They are both attending the University of Iowa now, but Jake’s heart is still in cyclone country! I was able to capture a wide variety of expressions during the shoot and Marci and Jake really relaxed and had fun. At least, that was the way they appeared!
I include engagement shoots in all of my wedding collections. These shoots are a fabulous way for me to get to know my clients, as well as a great way for them to get some really great images which are then often used in one form or another in the wedding day. I create custom guestbooks for many of my clients as well as invitations, save the date cards and even those super cute little magnets!
Ok, enough of my chatter, you came to see pictures right?!?!

Mary and Ryan ~ engaged!
Posted on April 14, 2010
Mary and Ryan chose to do an engagement session in two locations. We started at Brookside Park in Ames and then headed to the Main Street District. The great part about this is that they get such an amazing variety of looks and images and it doesn’t take a whole lot of extra time. It was a bit chilly when we did these, but they were very cooperative. I will be doing their wedding photography coming up soon too. The wedding is in June and will be held at St. Patrick’s in Imogene, Iowa with a reception to follow at the Scottish Rite Masonic Center in Omaha. After an engagement session like this I can’t wait to do the wedding shoot! Hope you enjoy the pics.

This was cute, and funny. I told Mary if she was going to grab the tie she had to put some attitude into it. She did...for about 10 seconds and then burst out laughing.
